(I wrote this yesterday morning, but then it glitched and disappeared. Finally have time to write again. So, this is Saturday morning's post...with more to follow later.)
We got the results. Her stomach isn't working right. She has gastric dysmotility. They think she has gastroparesis, too, but it's a different test that confirms that. They are speaking of it as "gastric dysmotility/gastroparesis" and also treating as though it is with the medication they've put her on. They put her back on mestinon, halving the dose they had her on before, since it made her so sick last time. She's also on erythromycin, as well as the lactulose and senna.

He said her struggles to eat and her inability to pass stool on her own are two separate issues. So, gastric dysmotility doesn't explain the second part.
Her large and small intestines can move with the wave like they want, but there is another test they can do to see how quickly food moves through her digestive tract to see if it's delayed, or something. (I didn't realize this test didn't do that.) Luckily it's a nicer test! More like her swallow study where she eats, and they watch it with x-rays. I'm not sure if they're planning to do this or not. We'll hopefully find out next time we talk with them.
Anyway, more to update on since then, but that'll be upcoming. I just wanted to at least get that posted finally. ❤️ (Photo: Emma was not feeling well at all.)
I have a friend that has gastroparesis and she has such a hard time with it I can ask if you want what she does to help with it etc and what meds she’s on for it. just let me know.
Thanks for the update. I hope she can tolerate the mestonin and the lower dose! And also that they get to the bottom of All the issues and get her some relief!
