Emma had a really difficult morning/early afternoon. But she finally got some food inside which has helped a lot (as you can see in the photo).

The doctor came in and had a serious chat about test results, as well as the things Emma has been dealing with, like her loss of normal motor control, gastroparesis, her fatigue (that keeps her in bed most of the time), and whatever it is that is causing her to not be able to handle feeds. Like, when we came into the hospital this time, she was completely cleaned out and still hasn’t been able to tolerate feeds. (Though, we started pedialyte at 15cc a hr, so we're working towards it still.)

Altogether, it seems to have them switching gears. He wants to send Emma home and switch her to palliative and hospice care. It's been quite a lot to take in to say the least (there have been a lot of tears, as we wanted better options), and I feel like my understanding of everything has really flipped upside down. Their current plan is to send her home tomorrow. I'll write more after I chat with him again about things (now that I've had time to form new questions), but I wanted to at least share that.
