Today was a better day than yesterday. She was on fluids all night and today (D5), as well as continuous feeds. Feeds are very slow. I think they're up to 30ccs per hour. There was one point today where Emma said it was too much, and she felt too full. So, they stopped it for a couple hours. But she's been fine since they restarted it an hour or two ago. As the day has gone on, she's perked up more, but she's still pretty fragile.

Today is also feeding-tubes-really-suck-and-we-hate-them day. I think she just needs to feel that right now and then will adjust to what the purpose of it is later. She's pretty angry about it. About everything that has gone wrong.
Biopsies came back mostly inconclusive. There was no evidence of GvHD (yay!) and she has gastritis, but we don't know why all the things that are happening are happening like this. He wants to focus on feeding her this week, helping her regain strength, stop losing weight, and then we'll move forward with whatever the next step is. They have no idea on a discharge date currently.
It sounds like they think if they can get the constipation cleared, there's a chance things will start working properly again (since they did the pylorus dilation, where they opened the bottom of her stomach more). So, they are wanting to wait to see if that's the case, and it'll take a bit of time. The medication to stimulate her intestines to work better seems like it might be doing something? It's hard to tell, though.
If it all ends up not working in the end (that dilating the pylorus wasn't the fix), I guess we'll go from there and decide what to do. He said he's penciling in next week switching from an NJ tube to a G tube (belly tube). He thinks it might make it easier for her to eat alongside the tube feeds. That'll be up for Emma to decide, though, as to whether they do that.
Thank you for all the good thoughts and prayers and comments. Those things are really helpful to her (and us) and we appreciate having such an amazing community to help her through all of this. <3
